Bumble – „Damenwahl“

Bumble launch in Germany

With a premium guest list and copious amounts of honey, Press Factory had the pleasure of spending last week introducing the dating app Bumble and its creator Whitney Wolfe to German Editors and Influencers.
The program took place in Berlin and Munich.

The dating app and game changer

Founded in 2014 the app that can boasted 12 million (and growing) users to its name is now available in Germany. The Bumble representatives flew in from the new Bumble headquarters in Texas for the occasion.

Whitney Wolfe is not your average 27-year old, just this year she was featured on Forbes coveted 30 under 30 list in Consumer Technology and she’s just getting started.
The former co-founder of Tinder, and now founder and CEO of Bumble is successfully paving the way in the world of dating apps with the game changer Bumble. Often hailed as a dating platform for the modern woman seeking to escape the sexual innuendos of tinder, Bumble is not just another chip off the block.

An app were women make the first move, not only to find a romantic connection but also the bumbleBFF function that lets you scroll through what could possibly be your next best friend. „Damenwahl“ as Süddeutsche Zeitung called it.

Bumble Lounge Berlin/Munich

In the cultural capital Berlin the interviews were held in a suite at the Hotel De Rome, followed by drinks with influencers at Parker Bowls and an intimate dinner with prominent German editors at the famed gourmet restaurant Grill Royal. In the Bavarian capital Munich the interviews with Whitney were held at a suite at the Mandarin Oriental, with influencer cocktails at the members only club HEART- Restaurant & Bar then topped off with an intimate dinner with prominent editors at the two star awarded fusion kitchen of Tantris.

„The ‚feminist‘ headlines are great, and it’s definitely brought the app some attention, but I think the main effect for women is that they’re finally in the driving seat without being judged.
